An audience of over 300 people representing the country's packaging industry attended the event and, as this was Japan with its deep-seated love of packaging, it was featured on TV too!
Andrew Streeter, a long time expert on Japanese pack-aging and its cultural and commercial drivers, was invited to be a guest of honour and delivered an opening address.
Mr Streeter hopes there will be increased co-operation between the Institute of Packaging in the UK and the Japan Packaging Institute, sponsors of Tokyo Pack.
