US plastics films and flexible packaging producer Pliant Corporation has extended its Revolution family to include R410 hand-wrap film for pallet loads.

R410 is a cast, co-extruded blend of specialty polyethylene grades including metallocenes. The 47 gauge hand-wrap stretch film, with comparable strength to 65-80 gauge hand-wrap, is available in 16in widths with 2000ft /roll.

The hand-wrap films is designed to increase integrity and require fewer roll changes when compared to conventional hand-wrap. It is said to cling well and does not neck-in when wrapping pallet loads.

"We created R410 to allow hand-wrap users the cost-saving benefits that a high integrity downgauged film can offer," said vice president sales Kevin Howard.
