Infiana Group reports positive results
For the Infiana Group, the first quarter following the company's name change was successful. The global manufacturer of specialty films based in Forchheim, Germany, has seen a significant increase in sales in the first three months compared to the same period last year in the Consumer, Industrial and Pressure Sensitive market segments. "This increase is a great success for us all, and shows that Infiana, as an independent group, remains focused on growth," stated Peter K. Wahsner, CEO Infiana Group.
This positive trend could also be seen at the first two trade show appearances of Infiana Group in March. With a team of 14 , Infiana presented itself at the ICE Europe fair in Munich. "We have consistently received positive feedback - in particular from
the international audience," reported Dr. Sven Bernhard, Vice President Sales EMEA at Infiana. With more than 7,000 guests from 71 countries, ICE Europe, a leading trade fair for the refining and processing of paper, film and foil, saw a visitor increase of
seven percent compared to the previous year. Approximately half of these visitors originated from countries other than Germany. Bernhard: "In addition to Infiana's new appearance, customers and visitors were particularly interested in our
technologically advanced product portfolio in the field of Release Liners and siliconized films."
There was also positive feedback at the JEC in Paris. There Infiana presented the FlexPlas -release film in cooperation with the Fraunhofer IFAM. "We are very satisfied with the result," said Soheila Salehi-Schneider, Project Manager of FlexPlas at Infiana.
A variety of customers in the aerospace, wind energy and automotive industries were interested in the innovative plasma coated release film, which makes the use of traditional release agents in the production of fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP)
superfluous even when it concerns complex, large-scale structures. The JEC is considered the leading trade fair in the field of composite materials. With over 36,000 guests, the number of visitors rose by 13 percent compared to the previous year.
