An addition to its Performa CTMP product family, Performa 2S reportedly offers “excellent printing properties” and among the highest bulk and stiffness on the market. Stora Enso says CTMP (chemi-thermochemical pulp) boards combine the stiffness, runnability and high yield of folding boxboard with the mechanical properties and chemical purity of solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board. The CTMP is used in the board's middle layer.
“There have been very few two-side coated folding boxboards on the market and the customers wanting such a product have lacked options in this category,” explains Pasi Ahokas, vice-president, Stora Enso Graphical Boards.
Performa 2s is available in 215-400gsm grammages; paper and board merchant Papyrus will serve as merchant for the new product in 21 countries.
