Improved performance shrink bag

17 March 2006

Sealed Air Cryovac has introduced a heat-resistant shrink bag designed for smoked and processed meat or cheese applications requiring medium to high abuse resistance that it says offers overlap sealability and reduced thickness for increased productivity and reduced costs.

The Cryovac BB6050 is a high sealable, multi-layer co-extruded shrink bag offering “superior resistance” and a 68 micron thickness said to bring improved features to its predecessor, the BB405, including overlap sealability and 25% downgauging. Alongside increased productivity, Sealed Air Cryovac says its other benefits include the facility for longer runs, less machine downtime and reduced storage space, because there are more bags in a box thanks to reduced thickness. The BB6050 is available in multiple sizes, with end or transversal seal, taped or untapped, and can be delivered plain or printed in several colours.
