‘Ideal’ for hygienic food bagging

Ilapak’s new open-frame vertical, form, fill and seal (V/F/F/S) bagging machine with ultrasonic sealing is designed for easier to access for servicing and maintenance.

With the emphasis on hygiene, the Vegatronic 2000 OF is ‘ideal’ for prepared produce, salads, frozen foods and grated and shredded cheese, says the company.

Fewer moving parts will significantly reduce maintenance costs throughout the life of the machine, it is claimed.

There are minimal cavities for bacteria to accumulate, so machine cleaning is simple and fast, making it easier to comply with the food industry’s ever stricter hygiene regulations, says Ilapak.

Ultrasonic sealing is claimed to minimise the amount of product damage in the seal area, which can discolour and contaminate the pack, and reduces leaker rates in industries such as salad, cheese and others.
