How to avoid spilling the soup

Ishida Europe has developed a “walking beam” system that operates with its QX775 traysealer to fill and seal pots of eight different soups at German food manufacturer Mico's Saxony plant.

Empty pots arrive on the “walking beam”, a metal bar which then moves to the filling position using precise servomotor control with the nozzles just above the rims. Here filling take places without soup spilling or splashing onto the rims.

The next movement takes filled pots to the traysealer infeed for presentation to the sealing tool. The pots can be lifted and moved forward simultaneously, saving time, while acceleration and deceleration is programmable to occur very smoothly and as rapidly as possible.

Splash-free fill and spill-free movement ensure pots arrive at the sealing tool with rims in “perfect condition” for a high integrity seal.

Sealed pots exit the traysealer and pass over an Ishida DACS checkweigher, after which each is fitted with a cardboard sleeve.
