'Holographic' ink launch

7 March 2005

ANI Printing Inks, formerly Akzo Nobel Inks, has launched a patent-pending speciality imaging process which its says provides eye-catching holographic effects without the need to print on "expensive" holographic materials.

The HolographINK process can enhance label aesthetics or perform the function of a security label, creating countless holographic colours and patterns, with fine detail and accurate positioning. The company says: "Excellent image bond can be achieved on many print substrates – including PE, PP and PVC, unsupported and in a self-adhesive laminate; heat-sensitive films; many papers; cartonboard; and plastic tube laminates."

ANI offers a choice of holographic patterns and shades, and an established "library" of ready-to-use holographic images which can be exclusively licensed.
