High spirits

19 September 2002

Rockware Glass has been at the spirits again, having developed dramatically contoured packs for the launch of Martini Spirito, as well as subtly tweek design for a new range of bottles for Bells Scotch whisky.

Aimed at 25-35 year-olds with a taste for drier drinks, Martini Spirito is packed into deeply waisted 275ml relatively heavy glass to provide a premium feel. Suitably exotic decoration is achieved using four labels, screen-printed and foil blocked.

For the Bells eight-year old brand in 70cl, 75cl and 1-litre, Rockware worked with design agency FutureBrand to create a tall, waisted design featuring a subliminal bell shape.

CAD software was used to produce the design which retains the brand's heritage marked by its barrel neck, intricate shoulder and em-bossing.
