Hapa-Laetus open days will showcase pharma printing and packaging technologies

14 March 2007

Hapa-Laetus, the UK/Ireland distribution, sales and service centre for on-demand print and pharmaceutical packaging security systems specialist Hapa AG and Laetus GmbH, is holding open days from 24-26 April at its new Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire facility.

Visitors will be able to see “a host of leading edge pharmaceutical printing and security technologies”, including the new Laetus Inspect wt compact “intelligent” print and barcode verification system and the Polycheck web inspection system, which reportedly offers “100% overall print quality inspection” on paper and aluminium or plastic films.

Also on show will be flexo printing systems from Hapa Printers designed for on or offline printing of large volumes of pharmaceutical packaging substrates. The robust technology uses solvent-free polymer inks that are instant-dry under UV light, enabling printing of high quality graphics and text in any colour. There will also be demonstrations of a fully specified pharmaceutical laser checkweigher capable of production speeds of 300 cartons/min, co-developed by Hapa-Laetus, Domino and Mettler Toledo.
