Go coreless to cut waste

27 July 2009

Specialist stretch film supplier STC claims its new Coreless Mini hand/manual wrapping reel offers savings of up to 17 per cent per reel compared with a mini reel with a core. Users will save on packaging waste – no cores to recycle – and time when changing reels, the company states. User friendliness is another attribute: the new dispenser works in both left and right handed applications.

STC says it is currently seeking distributors for the new product.

The new coreless format is also available on the company’s existing pre-stretch hand and machine reels, handywrap/mini reels and hand reels, machine reels.

STC’s 50,000 ft2 facility houses 20 rewinding machines producing in excess of 17mn reels/year. Its range of high quality stretch films includes food grade, anti-fog, anti-corrosive, UV stabilised, coloured, perforated, four-way-shrink, and pre-stretched material.
