Getting around volume problems

28 August 2002

A range of low cost, semi-automatic label machines for applying a single label or front and back labels around circular containers has been launched by Sessions of York.

Based on the company's Spectrum labelling unit, the compact SSA bottle labeller is designed to meet the need for low to medium volume multi-pack production units where volumes and batch sizes do not warrant high speed automatic lines. The SSA is available in mono and duo formats.

The mono system is designed to apply a single wrap-round label to bottles, while the duo is able to apply both single wrap and front and back labels. Easily adjusted for different container sizes, both units can handle bottle sizes between 10 and 90mm in diameter.

Interfacing with hot foil, thermal transfer and inkjet printers is possible, as is potentiometer label positioning within its integrated electronics.
