Gerresheimer, supplier to the pharma and healthcare industry, is expanding its global operations with a representative office in Mumbai, India, to profit from the consistent growth in emerging markets.
In addition to sales operations, the company is also stepping up its local customer services and technical services.
“Our strategic objective is to achieve above average growth in the emerging markets. We currently generate around 10% of our revenues in these dynamically growing markets and we aim to double this figure over the next three years.,” said Uwe Röhrhoff, CEO of Gerresheimer.
A burgeoning pharma sector is thanks partly to the improvement of the Indian healthcare system giving people greater access to medication, and the fact that international pharmaceutical groups are manufacturing more products in India for other regions, states Gerresheimer,
