These foldable crates take less than 70 per cent of space than standard containers when empty. They are highly efficient to transport and store, resulting in significant cost savings.
Available in three sizes, Ortus is suitable for agricultural, food processing and retail applications. The larger 600x400x180mm version is popular with retailers for transporting fresh fruit and vegetables. Its perforated base and sides enable air to circulate round the products, thereby maintaining their freshness. Ortus also doubles as a retail display case, enabling goods to travel straight to the shelves and reducing transportation, packaging and handling costs.
Ortus' plastic construction makes it reusable, returnable and recyclable. It is easy to clean, does not rust and resists moisture, fat and some acids, solvents and chemicals, and is thus safe and hygienic. Ortus is light, yet strong and durable. It can thus withstand rough treatment and is also stackable, incorporating ergonomically-designed handles on all four sides. Furthermore, Ortus is compatible with dollies, conveyors and other warehouse equipment.
