The new FX400e foil imprinting system is an optional accessory to Primera’s LX-Series colour label printers that will apply gold and silver borders, fonts and other graphics to inkjet printed labels.
Primera says the effect is ‘virtually identical to traditional metallic hot stamp technology’, adding brilliant, shiny highlights to labels. Since the process is 100% digital, there are no set-up charges and ‘virtually any design imaginable can be printed’.
Clear film for FX400e is also available which, in addition to adding a professional, glossy finish, is said to make labels virtually waterproof and allow longer exposure to natural and artificial light sources.
To simplify the feeding of preprinted labels into the FX400e, Primera offers the optional LX400e unwinder, which can be combined with the LX400e rewinder that rolls up the finished imprinted labels.
