RK Packaging Systems (RKPS) has introduced in the UK what it claims is the first standalone UN-certified pail for liquids.
The Ropac liquid pail is available in 5 and 20 litre sizes. Both come with standard lids, available with or without a flexspout to enable full open top filling and small aperture controlled emptying. The pails are UN-certified Groups II and III, 1H2/Y1.8 for the 5 litre version and Y1.4 for the 20 litre, to an internal pressure of 100 kPa. Additionally the 5 litre pail has solid rating X1.9.
RKPS has sold the range of Ropac UN-certified pails for solids in the UK for many years and says the development of the liquid pail in two sizes, with more planned, completes the widest range of fully certified standalone UN pails currently available.
