Films by flexo and lamination

25 March 2009

Mercury Packaging used the latest flexo printing and lamination techniques to produce a variety of high quality, printed film-on-the-reel products to Pointer Pet Foods for a new range of dog biscuits and treats.

The BRC approved laminated films use various combinations of substrates, including orientated and cast polypropylene (OPP/CPP), and polyester. They feature 20 designs for 500 gm and 2 kg packs of different flavoured products, and were 8-colour printed by Mercury on its recently installed, £1.3mn gearless flexo press.

The company offers a diverse range of printing capabilities up to 1,250 mm wide, with 330 mm to 750mm design repeat in up to eight colours. It allows printing and lamination to a broad range of material substrates including PP and BOPP.
