Faraday teams up with Tesco

15 July 2009

Tesco are working with Faraday across several sectors, specifically with a view to reducing the amount of packaging that the supermarket giant uses in all areas of business.

Stephen Pizer, Tesco’s packaging technical manager, says: “We think Faraday can add real value through the link it provides to experts in the academic world. Partnering with Faraday gives us a forum to discuss and share ideas, and allows us to get an early view of future innovations and their potential applications.”

Faraday’s recyclable packaging project, headed by Dr Laurence Hogg, is focused on developing new technologies and systems that enable more mixed plastics packaging to be recycled by the current recycling infrastructure in the UK.
