Family Power

20 September 2002

Two families of high-performance brushless synchronous servo motors have been launched by Micromech.

Known as the MH and SMH series, the 23 models with continuous torque ratings from 0.2-90Nm are intended for applications that require high levels of dynamic performance or extremely tight synchronisation characteristics.

The MH series motors classical windings are available with a wide choice of power ratings to suit diverse applications.

The SMH family features salient pole windings to maximise torque and is particularly suited to applications that demand fast acceleration and deceleration characteristics.

All motors in these families are three-phase designs that use neodymium iron boron magnets.

They are also equipped with resolvers and winding-embedded temperature sensors to provide direct feedback to the servo drive.
