European Bioplastics Conference celebrates 10th anniversary

The bioplastics industry will be celebrating an anniversary this year when gathering in Berlin at the Maritim proArte Hotel for the 10th edition of the European Bioplastics Conference on 5/6 November. The key focus areas of this year's programme represent a mix of product, material, and process innovations, and broader 'state-of-the-industry' discussions such as on biobased feedstock sourcing, the political and standardisation environment, or brand owner perspectives on bioplastics.

Alongside the conference attendees will have access to the dedicated bioplastics product exhibition where up to 40 companies will showcase their latest innovations.

The conference is complemented by lots of social networking events around the 10th anniversary celebrations. One of the highlights this year will be the gala dinner on 5 November, courtesy of Vinçotte. The Belgian certifier has teamed up with European Bioplastics to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the OK Compost certification programme.

As the major industry association in this field, European Bioplastics are committed to representing the interests of stakeholders along the entire value chain. The diversity of the delegation - usually 350+ strong and expected to grow - reflects that, and the trend towards a pan-industry gathering is set to continue as the event embraces the inclusion of political and other European and global non-private sector stakeholders.

The call for papers will be published soon and delegates can register for the event from March.
