Entry-level X-ray system launched by Loma

1 September 2006

A new entry-level X-ray system from inspection technology specialist Loma Systems reportedly offers “highest levels of accuracy, reliability, safety and longevity”, a response to demands being imposed on suppliers by UK supermarkets and EU regulations.

The “pioneering” XR will find metal, stone, glass, dense plastics, bone and ceramics and check for irregularities such as over or underfill.

Protection and durability results from a new cabinet design and X-ray tube, while the machine’s length has been specially tailored to improve radiation safety and enable inclusion of an on-board reject system.

The product menu holds up to 50 different product specifications – quickly and automatically called up and reset “in seconds”.
