Enquiries pour in for dry goods filling system

2 May 2003

Budelpack March is reporting a strong surge of interest in the recently installed Tetra Pak dry goods filling system – the only one in the UK.

The news follows the revelation of the firm's new contract with Capespan International which chose the pioneering system to package its range of premium branded cereals – Fyffes Tropical Fruit Muesli, Outspan Exotic Fruit Muesli and Cape Orchard Fruit Muesli.

The muesli is packaged in Tetra Rex 2-litre gable top cartons which offers easy opening, holding and pouring, neat storage in the cupboard and simple resealing with a plastics clip.

Budelpack March managing director Ian Affleck says: "It's the first time that the Tetra Rex carton has been used in the UK for packaging a non-liquid food product."

The Tetra Pak technology is suitable for dry goods such as cereals, snacks, confectionery, sugar and flour and also wet products.
