END OF LINE - Entry level palletiser

19 December 2003

Schneider Packaging Equipment Co. has unveiled its economical K-Bot Palletiser. "We developed the K-Bot because we saw a need for a basic and low cost palletiser for those looking to get into automated end-of-line solutions," says Pete Squires, vice-president of controls. "We are offering customers an entry level system that is easy to maintain and run."

Designed to move up to 175lb, the K-Bot is a four-axis, floor-level palletiser capable of running single or dual line applications at a rate of up to 10 cycles/min. The 62x104in footprint allows for pallet sizes of up to 48x48in and unit loads up to 72in high. It is a dual-function machine that will serve as a palletiser and de-palletiser.

Schneider says the operator interface is programmed with pre-defined pack patterns, making changeover easy, while "unique stationary motors and power encoder cables" protect the machine for a longer life.

"We have designed K-Bot to operate in the toughest environments. Our engineers created a machine that is simple to troubleshoot and easy to set up," says Paul Burdick, director of sales and marketing.
