Empress gives luxury packaging a ‘new ideal’ says RPC

7 December 2009

In the Empress thick-walled cream jar RPC has combined eye-catching technical effects with a distinctive shape to convey ‘a new ideal’ in luxury cosmetics packaging.

The latest standard launch from RPC Bramlage features a dual-layer construction, with a coloured inner jar visible inside the clear outer container.

The overall pack achieves a luxurious thick-walled ‘glass effect,’ while the use of plastics offers lightweight and shatterproof advantages in the supply chain says RPC.

Originally developed for the Nivea Visage Expert Lift range, the Empress jar has become a company standard with options including screen printing, hot stamping, vacuum metallising, spray lacquering and electroplating.

The outer container is injection moulded in a type of polystyrene for a luxurious thick-walled effect. The inner jar is manufactured in PP in shades of colour to suit the product.
