Elopak's "super model" of all cartons

19 May 2006

A tall, lean carton designed to evoke feelings of “wellness”, health and fitness in consumers was unveiled Elopak at April’s Anuga FoodTec exhibition.

The “Slim” carton incorporates a gable top and a “slender, slim body”, giving it “a more feminine feel”. Consumer research also showed those questioned felt the pack’s ergonomic design made it easier to hold, especially for those with small hands. Intended to reinforce premium price positioning, the pack has a 65 x 65mm footprint, enabling more cartons to be fitted onto a pallet, and will initially be available in 500ml, 750ml and 1 litres sizes. The Slim is produced on Elopak’s well-established Pure-Pak U-S80A 8,000 pack/hour capacity aseptic machine.

Elopak also showcased its new iCone pack, with its “uniquely designed” conical shape and large flat front branding surface. Consumer tests in the UK and France revealed high percentages of those questioned rated the package “unique and different” , with superior ratings for ease of handling, pouring, opening, reclosing, stability, unbreakability and storage.
