Eastern growth for Guala Closures

7 July 2010

Guala Closures Group, a producer of non-refillable closures for the international spirits market, has acquired Bulgarian company Danik continuing the company’s growth in Eastern Europe.

Danik, with a turnover of 16 million euros and 200 employees, produces non-refillable inserts, closures and injection moulds.

The acquisition follows the purchase in 2009 of Technologia Closures, a large producer of polymer and aluminium closures, renamed Guala Closures Ukraine.

Guala Closures Group CEO Marco Giovannini says: “The strategic acquisition of Danik will allow us to further strengthen our ability to supply in the most efficient way our Eastern European customers in countries such as Russia and Armenia, as well as the growing spirits market in Mongolia.”
