DRINKS BRAND CAWSTON PRESS WINS DBA DESIGN EFFECTIVENESS GOLD AWARD  

On Wednesday 1st March, Cawston Press were awarded the DBA Design Effectiveness Gold Award in the Beverages industry sector.

 

The design of Cawston Press’ Sparkling Cans range, crafted by creative and brand design agency Pearlfisher, aims to convey the drinks’ high-quality and natural ingredients. An inspired design on a cream background with bold lettering, minimal imagery and distinctively British tone of voice has created a sense of nostalgia and contemporary appeal.

 

Cawston Press sold more than 10 million sparkling cans in 2016, and Sparkling Rhubarb remains the most popular flavour. The sparkling drinks are made using pressed fruit as opposed to fruit concentrates.


Despite a declining market, Cawston Press has become a key player in the sparkling soft drink category. It has doubled its overall business in the past two years since the introduction of the sparkling cans range, and now has a retail sales value of £20m in the UK market.

 

The company is forecasting continued fast growth in the UK and is continuing to expand to more international markets. The brand is already available in Belgium, Holland, Australia and the USA - where the sparkling cans will be sold in Whole Foods Market stores for the first time this Spring.
