Portola Europe says three new "innovative" versions of its 38mm cap, designed primarily for dairy products, fruit juices and iced tea packaging, meet the European drinks industry's growing preference for this size of closure.
The three variants are a bore seal type cap for PET bottles, a wadded version "more suitable" for HDPE packs and an oxygen scavenger closure providing an effective barrier against oxygen which Portola says significantly increases drinks' shelf life. All three have a 3-start design and a J-band for tamper evidence.
