Cutting the static

29 May 2008

The Chesapeake Corporation of Richmond, Virginia, USA has launched an anti-static HDPE speciality chemical container. The material has been specially formulated to minimise the risk of static buildup and electrostatic discharge. Chesapeake has achieved these properties by incorporating an anti-static agent within the polymer resins used on the exterior surface of the multi-layered blow-moulded containers. One of the first customers is Ciba. The containers are available in 11 and 20 litre versions, being manufactured in Crewe, UK; St. Etienne, France and Peremarton, Hungary.
