Curiouser and curiouser

9 September 2003

Arjo Wiggins has added paper developments that are designed to stimulate the imagination to its Curious Collection, available in the UK through the Robert Horne Group.

The new additions include thermo-reactive papers, as part of the Curious Particles sub-brand, that comes in three pale shades with flecks that disappear or change colour when touched and reappear at room temperature.

What is claimed to be the world's first silent paper is available with Curious Touch Wet finish. Wet is described as fluid, not crisp, which means it doesn't rustle like conventional papers.

It is suitable for normal offset litho printing with hard drying inks. Further new effects can be achieved with Curious Translucents, which offers three new patterns: Anaconda, Linear and Diamond. There are also three floral additions, Meadow, Wild Rose and Bluebell.
