A new shrinkwrap film formulation developed to reduce sealing times and thus significantly increase productivity which has required over two years’ r&d to perfect has been launched by Sealed Air.
Cryovac Adapt reportedly provides a superb, wrinkle-free pack appearance, with a low haze, high gloss finish. The film can be used on any shrink equipment, but is especially well-suited to Shanklin shrinkwrappers, and will wrap “virtually any light to medium weight items”, from stationery to confectionery. Sealed Air says Adapt was developed in response to customer demand for films offering increased efficiency and ease of use.
Other key benefits include high tear and puncture resistance, and a low temperature shrink, thus requiring less energy to run shrink tunnels and enabling shrinkwrapping of temperature-sensitive products. The reduced sealing temperature also lowers sealing jaw maintenance.
Capable of an output of up to 100 packs/min, Cryovac Adapt is a clear film printable in any colour required and is available in three strength grades.
