Croxsons bottle marks "direction shift"

London-based William Croxson & Son, reportedly the UK’s largest independent glass container supplier, has released its first bottle to be available to all, both within the UK and overseas.

Previously the company has sourced glass containers for specific customers from existing manufacturer ranges.

The 500ml AMC beer bottle is available in amber and flint in quantities of one pallet upwards. It is named after Andrew Mark Croxson, the company chairman’s oldest son, who passed away in April 1999. Key features include a large label panel and special neck, both incorporated “after extensive market research”.

Stephen Croxson, regional sales manager, southern England, says: “The neck incorporates a smaller bulge, designed in response to brewer requests for a neck which would facilitate labelling.” Advanced orders for over two million bottles have already been received.
