Crown's cans on target for World Cup goal

Special football-themed limited edition aerosol cans have been produced by Crown Aerosolsl Europe for a number of Gillette male grooming products to coincide with this summer’s 2006 FIFA World Cup, of which Gillette is an official sponsor.

The three-piece 200 ml steel cans – for Gillette’s Mach3Turbo shaving gel, Gillette Series shaving gel and antiperspirant and deodorant – are manufactured at in a comfortable, easy-to-grip shape with to aid dispensing.

Crown says the ability to create the unique design – with football-style contouring – results from its proprietary blowforming process, which begins with performs placed in precision-engineered moulds to create the desired shape. The preform is then blowformed using high pressure air, causing it to expand into the shape of the mould.

The promotional cans will be available in supermarkets, drug stores and pharmacies across Europe and America throughout the tournament.
