Creative help with inspiration

16 November 2009

Organisations involved in packaging planning, research, design or development can now benefit from CREA PAC, a new quarterly ‘packaging inspiration box’ from Mintel and SabotagePKG.

The Crea Pac box provides a visual and textual direction on trends and actual examples of products – bringing packaging trends from across the globe right to the desks of those involved in developing new ideas. Recipients will be able to see first-hand packaging examples from around the world specific to the theme of the box that month, picked by Mintel's trend experts.

Alistair Vince, director of Mintel's Global New Products Database says: "Crea Pac is designed to inspire. Aimed at brand managers, packaging technologists and designers alike, it is intended to evoke excitement, promote discussion, spark ideas and ultimately get packaging projects moving."

Subscribers will have a dedicated box delivered quarterly enclosing essential packaging collateral ‘to inform and inspire’. The box will contain six end-user products which showcase the latest innovative packaging, two packaging processes, two samples of packaging materials and one 'visual journal' containing additional images and articles to help further stimulate.

Alexander Theodorou, Creative Director – Brand at SabotagePKG states: "Mintel are experts in market intelligence and we are experts in trends, visual inspiration & packaging design. Working together we make an unrivalled team in packaging trends and direction in 3D. By utilising the extensive Mintel global network of packaging sourcing - clients physically get the best packaging delivered to their door, four times a year."

The inaugural Crea Pac theme will be 'Revive' – focusing on the emergence of retro and nostalgia and looking at redefining existing preconceptions and enhancing established ideas. An additional bespoke service - Crea Pac Unique - will enable clients to tailor themes and ideas to their needs.
