UK packaging printers keen to improve their productivity, raise manufacturing efficiency and sharpen management practices can now arrange a visit from a printing industry forum-accredited production engineer who, for as little as £250, will identify shortcomings, produce an in-depth report, and suggest practical solutions.
The Premier Snapshot "diagnostic" service is being offered by Vision in Print, the printing industry forum, in partnership with UK paper merchant Premier Paper Group. Last month Premier announced a two-year sponsorship to enable Vision in Print to offer the one or two-day initial diagnostic at half the normal price. Thus, for a £250 fee for any company employing under 50 and £500 for one with over 100 personnel, a consultant will undertake a full "diagnostic" audit, examining everything from shift patterns to staff management. The consultants will then supply a "roadmap" highlighting areas of satisfactory performance and those needing improvement.
