Cosfibel launches Ricard gift pack

19 October 2011

Packaging and merchandising specialist Cosfibel has unveiled a new presentation gift case for Pernod Ricard-owned anis brand, Ricard.

Due to hit the shelves before the end of the year, the new design helps the market-leading aperitif brand to “attain premium status”, according to the company.

Early in 2011, Pernod Ricard relaunched Ricard Pastis de Marseille the market-leading brand, selling more than 5.3 million 9-litre cases annually, according to Euromonitor International – with a new bottle shape that has a rectangular base and logos embossed on the glass.

The new gift case – created by Cosfibel subsidiary and transparent packaging specialist Roskoplast in Pau, south-west France – echoes the design features of the bottle, and brings: “elegance, modernity and technical prowess.”

Transparent facing allows the contents to show through, revealing the trademark Ricard yellow, illuminated with an opaque matte shade of white.

The company says: “The APET used provides rigid tenacity in terms of its gripping ability, thanks to the warped logo embossed on the sides of the case, fruit of a Cosfibel patent.”

No wedge is required to secure the bottle, as the sculpted shape of the case follows the shape of the bottle while maintaining it in place.
