Conveyor cuts damage risks

20 April 2004

An air conveyor system for PET bottles, designed and manufactured exclusively by Isoma and just introduced in the UK, is claimed to provide substantially improved line efficiencies and reduced risk of container damage and to be far easier to instal and more inherently robust than traditional bolted steel structures.

The patented, stainless steel conveyor features a circular profile for air ducting, ensuring maximum rigidity, while shorter section lengths and small inverter fans give greater control over line speeds. Fan speed is modulated with downstream equipment and conveyor fill level to cut container damage risk.
