Compamed showcases sterile medical packaging

10 December 2009

World forum and exhibition for medicine Compamed, held in Germany in November, was a showcase for sterilisable packaging concepts.

“This is a highly professional and knowledgeable market,” said Mike Healey of Automated Packaging Systems exhibiting at Compamed for the first time and launching a new medical bagging system.

The HD-E bagger offers a flexible bagging system with sufficiently high quality print to deliver traceability by batch and even individual bag, said Mr Healey.

The high quality printer unit and accompanying software on the HD-E bagger makes individual item traceability simple to execute, Mr Healey explained. “And because of the material quality used to fabricate our bags, they can be pre- and/or over-printed on either side.”
