Leuze electronic's LSIS120 code reader is a single unit that can read both bar codes and 2D codes omni-directionally. Excellent read results are said to be guaranteed by the high camera resolution of 1.23 megapixels.
Leuze says the applications for this IP67 rated unit are numerous, but it was designed “to address the issues commonly seen in handling and testing machines, robotic systems, PCB handling, automotive, and analytic automation systems”. At only 40 mm wide and 32 mm high, its compact size permits easy implementation in constrained spaces, whilst the M12 connection and metric mounting thread speed installation.
A choice of RS232 or USB interfaces provides additional flexibility of installation, as does the ability to manually activate and configure the unit by a trigger button.
