The judges said the label, printed by tesa Bandfix AG for Nivea Hair Care, was “a superb example of the combination of screen, offset and gravure printing in subtle tones of pink and well produced blue type with silver images”.
Over 240 entries from 23 countries competed in four categories, with 17 class-winning awards, with the judges particularly impressed with the “overall excellent use of colour and outstanding graphics”. Alongside European entrants, winners included printers from as far apart as Peru and Canada.
A selection of the winners will be entered for the World Label competition, being judged at September's Labelexpo exhibition in Brussels.
This “complicated to print” combination printed label won the FINAT 2007 Best in Show award recently in Berlin CatB6
