Colep is forming a joint venture with Scitra in the United Arab Emirates, part of the Albatha Group, with the aim of creating an aerosol contract manufacturing operation in the UAE.
Operating under the name of Colep Scitra Aerosols, the JV will invest in expansion and improvement of the existing Scitra aerosol filling plant in Sharjah, UAE, aligning it with international standards required by multi-national branded companies in the personal care and home care industries.
The new “first class operation” will serve the PAFTA and COMESA countries of the Middle East and Africa.
Consumer goods packaging and contract manufacturer Colep is part of the Portugal-based RAR Group.
Peter Ingelse, managing director of Colep’s Consumer Products Division, said: “This new venture with our partners in the Middle East further extends Colep’s ability to serve our customers across the globe and offer supply nearer to their markets.”
