Mondi Consumer Bags was nominated for the innovation trophy at CFIA 2011, the packaging fair held in March in Rennes, France, for a system that promotes creative cooking in the microwave.
The Zip&Valve pouch is a retortable stand-up pouch for cooking food in the microwave. It was ranked as one of the three top innovations at Carrefour des Fournisseurs de l’Industrie Agroalimentaire.
The pouch makes it possible to prepare meals faster and gives the opportunity to season rice or soups as in traditional cooking, says Mondi.
