The company says the same blend of traditional appearance and modern functionality applies to the plastic jar's galvanised metal handle and thermoplastic elastomer sealing ring, the latter specially designed for compatibility with food oils and fats. Extensive decoration options – including labelling, screen printing or embossing – and a choice of 125, 200 and 350ml sizes – can be specified to meet particular brand image and marketing objectives.
One company to have recognised the jar's benefits is the Body Shop, which is using it for three of its Spa Wisdom range products. The 125ml size is used for Africa Spa Honey Butter, the 200ml jar for Africa Spa Rich Body Balm and the 350ml for Africa Spa Salt Scrub.
