The new-shaped container will be used internationally, with the design intended to create a unified brand identity that will replace the various packs currently being used. One of the key packs features is the new thick, flat glass base. The new bottle bears a strong similarity to the established Ballantine’s Finest pack, which has a rectangular shape and, the brand owner says, creates a “Ballantine’s family feel”. Removal of the facets which formerly characterised the 12 Year Old creates a sleeker finish, which gives the brand a more contemporary image.”
