China's print awards scheme is going global

4 December 2009

The third annual Print Awards Ceremony run by China-based Gold East Paper, a graphics paper specialist, was open this year to printers from across Asia and drew well over 800 entrants.

Labels, packaging and design were among the nine categories, which included for the first time an Original Design Award for outstanding graphic design in final print production.

Next year’s event will be held in Shanghai to coincide with the 2010 World Expo in the city.

By opening entries to printers in Europe and America, Gold East Paper hopes to turn the awards into ‘one of the most celebrated industrial events in the world’.
