Chevier invests for growth

24 August 2009

In response to increasing demand from bakers and food manufacturers, Chevier, the UK’s leading maker of baking cases, has installed a specially designed reel-fed machine that will produce over 250,000 muffin and cupcake cases an hour.

Managing director Stuart Whelan says: “Everyone at the company is very excited by the arrival of the new machinery. It has taken three years to develop, during which time we have continuously improved every aspect of our production process.”

Chevier was formed in February this year after a management buy-out by four senior executives of Chevier Packaging, who immediately set about consolidating all operations onto a single site in South Wales. This involved establishing a new production plant next to the existing plant.
