Changes at Constantia

Guido N Schmidt-Chiari has resigned as supervisory board chairman of Constantia Packaging. His successor is former supervisory board member Rainer Zellner. Christine de Castelbajac remains an ordinary member, but has resigned as deputy chairwoman. The post of deputy chairman is now held by Wolfgang Pfarl

In addition, chief financial officer Helmut Schwager has retired. He has been with the company since 1969. Pending the appointment of a successor, his responsibilities will be assumed by CEO Hanno M Bästlein.

With activities in the aluminum, corrugated board and flexible packaging segments, the Constantia Packaging Group has approximately 8,400 employees working in 20 countries. Group sales for 2008 sales were forecast at €2.1 bn
