The three different cartons, on 450-micron Avanta Ultra, are printed in seven special colours with high gloss varnish to enable the original hand-painted images by British illustrator Alison Jay to be reproduced while keeping the soft pastel effect.
Initial reproduction and proofing was undertaken using both standard and stochastic screens.
Crabtree & Evelyn head of packaging Neil Roberts says: "The final cartons were printed using stochastic screening and a non-standard set to give the colour and softness we were looking for."
