20 April 2004

Confectionery company Leaf reports a significant boost in Finnish sales of its TV Mix candy mix and best-selling chocolate bar Tupla following the two brands' relaunch in paper cups made by Huhtamaki from Stora Enso's Cupforma baseboard.

In fact, Stora Enso says, the paperboard cups' convenience, recloseability and excellent hygiene are making them very popular across the European confectionery and snack market.

Annika Brusila, Leaf's marketing manager, adds: "Candy cups combine attractive design with user-friendliness, reclosability and strength. They are easy to serve from, keeps candies fresh and fit in vehicle cupholders."

Cupforma is three-layer chemical pulp, polymer-coated for optimum barrier, sealing and printability.
