Cameron Linn work switched

6 February 2009

Following its recent acquisition by the Benson Group, Cameron Linn’s Glasgow site has closed and its work has been transferred to Benson’s food packaging production sites in Newcastle, Gateshead and Leicester.

Mark Kerridge, the Benson MD, comments: “We have received 110 per cent support from the staff in Glasgow, despite the difficult situation. All orders within the factory have been completed on time, and we have not let any customers down. We have offered a number of production positions to the Glasgow team at our Integrated Packaging plant in Gateshead, and several people have expressed an interest in this opportunity.”

Cameron Linn had a turnover of more than £8.5mn in the food sector, supplying Marks & Spencer and other major retailers and food producers. Benson Group was able to transfer that order book to its existing plants in four weeks.
